Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped at the Winter Festival - I stayed lovely and warm in the Womble suit, but I know some of you were feeling the cold after a while, so a really huge thank you for helping - Dawn at the Town Council asked me to pass her thanks onto you all as well.
This weekend we have a tree up as part of St John's Church Christmas Tree Festival. Our tree features tinsel made out of crisp packets and baubles made from nitrous oxide gas canisters - all the trees together are very impressive, so well worth going to have a look.
Womble Party Saturday, 6 January - 6pm to 8.30pm - Sherwood Road Community Room
Please come and celebrate all we have achieved together over the last year - Wombles young and old, new or established, their family and friends are all welcome. There will be a play space for small Wombles. I really appreciate the opportunity to just get to know you all and hope that you also feel supported by knowing just how many other people there are in our community who care about keeping Keynsham litter free. Please bring food to share - drinks will be provided.
Sunday, 28 January - Litter Pick 11am to 1pm
We will be litter picking in the Wellsway School area - exact meeting point still being worked out!
2-4 March Keep Britain Tidy’s Nationwide Litter Pick
Please keep the Saturday 3 March free for our now annual litter pick stretching across the whole of Keynsham. Last year we did some gorilla litter picking in the park on the Friday using abseilers under Echo Bridge - ideas welcome for this year!
Looking forward to seeing those who can make it at our party on 6 January - but huge thanks for all you do and I hope you all have a very happy Christmas.
With best wishes
Erica (aka Oronoco)
